migraine..

Assalamualaikum semua..
lama gila xupdate blog.. nak buat camne, line kat campus baru ni kureng siket.. hee
okay, for today i want to share about migraine. aku bukan apa, sekadar perkongsian.. aku ni pun ada migraine. kadang2 rasa sakit sesangat. migraine aku ada la sampai seminggu. teruk gak la,,

Migraine is a chronic neurological disorder characterized by recurrent moderate to severe headaches often in association with a number of autonomic nervous system symptoms.
(thanks for Mr. Wiki and also pak cik Google sebab bagi kat aku meaning of migraine!)

Headache is unilateral (affecting one half of the head) and pulsating in nature, lasting from 2 to 72 hours.
tapi biasanya orang kalau da migraine impossible la 2 jam je, at least 1 hari, betol x? biasanya kalau aku migraine 2 hari la..paling common la tu, tapi kalau da tahap teruk sangat seminggu pun ada.

Migraine headaches result from a combination of blood vessel enlargement and the release of chemicals from nerve fibers that coil around these blood vessels. During the headache, an artery enlarges that is located on the outside of the skull just under the skin of the temple (temporal artery). This causes a release of chemicals that cause inflammation, pain, and further enlargement of the artery.

A migraine headache causes the sympathetic nervous system to respond with feelings of nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting. This response also delays the emptying of the stomach into the small intestine (affecting food absorption), decreases blood circulation (leading to cold hands and feet), and increases sensitivity to light and sound.

More than 28 million Americans suffer from migraine headaches, and females are much more likely to get them than males.

Researchers from the Glia Institute, Sao Paulo, Brazil and the Einstein College of Medicine, New York, USA, found that kids with migraines are much more likely to also have behavioral problems, such as attention issues, anxiety, and depression, compared to children who never have migraines.

Brain lesions and migraine link - women who suffer from migraines have a greater risk of having deep white matter hyperintensities (brain lesions) compared to other women, researchers from Leiden University Medical Center, the Netherlands, reported in JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) (November 2012). They added that migraine severity, frequency and how long they had been going on for were not associated with the progression of lesions.

Some people who suffer from migraines can clearly identify triggers or factors that cause the headaches, but many cannot. Potential migraine triggers include:
  • Allergies and allergic reactions

  • Bright lights, loud noises, and certain odors or perfumes

  • Physical or emotional stress

  • Changes in sleep patterns or irregular sleep

  • Smoking or exposure to smoke

  • Skipping meals or fasting

  • Alcohol

  • Menstrual cycle fluctuations, birth control pills, hormone fluctuations during menopauseonset

  • Tension headaches

  • Foods containing tyramine (red wine, aged cheese, smoked fish, chicken livers, figs, and some beans), monosodium glutamate (MSG), or nitrates (like bacon, hot dogs, and salami)

  • Other foods such as chocolate, nuts, peanut butter, avocado, banana, citrus, onions, dairy products, and fermented or pickled foods.
Triggers do not always cause migraines, and avoiding triggers does not always prevent migraines.

Scientists find migraine gene mutation

A team of scientists, including Emily A. Bates, PhD, from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and Brigham Young University, who has been plagued by migraines since her teens, have identified a gene mutation that increases a person's susceptibility to migraines.

(ni yang aku amek dari Medical News Today. heee just ntok share kat semua!)

hmm,, macam2 la orang nak hilangkan migraine. aku xnafi kekadang aku pun amek je ubat migraine, tapi ubatnya addictive. takut gak la nak makan selalu. aku ni dari kecik lagi migraine. kalau tido petang je mesti sakit. so, kiranya aku memang tak tido petang2. tapi kekadang kalau da penat sangat memang tido gak pstu mula la jalan macam orang mabuk and nk muntah la. tapi setiap sesuatu perkara yang kita alami ni mesti ada sebabnya.

kekadang aku rasa bersyukur gak bila aku migraine sebab at least masa tengah sakit tu mula la ingat Allah and selalu doa supaya sakit kepala tu hilang. as a human, its normal la bila kita sakit kita ingat Allah, tapi bila sihat xde lak nk ucap Alhamdulillah. aku xkata kat orang lain sebab aku sendiri yang camtu.

okay, xnak mengarut sangat. huhu skarang nie aku nak share kan petua Islam yang aku amalkan bila sakit kepala. benda nie pun aku copy dari mana ntah sebab da lama kan, so xingat aku amek dari buku ke internet je.huhu

Petua Rawatan Islam Untuk Sakit Kepala

1. Baca Surah Al-Fatihah (1kali)

2. Baca Ayatul Kursi (3 kali)

3. Baca Surah Al-Ikhlas (3 kali)

4. Baca Surah Al-Falaq (1kali)

5. Baca Surah An-Nas (1kali)

6. Baca Surah Yaasin ayat ke-58 (3 kali)

7. Baca Selawat atas Nabi SAW (3 kali)
